I am pleased announce that Ms. Lynn Frazier, Executive Associate Director of the University of Florida International Center, has been appointed to serve as Interim Dean of the UF International Center effective July 1, 2008. As Interim Dean, Ms. Frazier will report directly to the Provost and will work with the deans and the faculty of each college in the university to implement international dimensions of the university’s strategic plan. In addition, she will facilitate the UF International Center’s External Advisory Board and the Cross Campus Collaboration and Communication (C-4) Committee. Ms. Frazier will work towards expanding opportunities for the active engagement of students in international learning experiences both off-campus and on-campus.

Lynn Frazier began employment at UF in 1997 and has served as Executive Associate Director of the International Center for the past nine years. Ms. Frazier has supervised the Center’s three core service areas: Study Abroad Services, International Student Services and Faculty and Scholar Services. Her responsibilities have also included the facilitation of all Cooperative Agreements and Reciprocal Student Exchange Agreements. She serves on numerous university committees and served as a member of the Faculty Senate for two terms.

Ms. Frazier received both her B.A. and M.S. degrees from the University of Florida.
